Famous Artists

Think of some artists that come out on the Internet when you type it in on Google. Beyond your thinking, there are many historical, and modern artists from centuries to modern life. Before trying some art projects, let's take a look at professional artists.

Everyone would know Vincent Van Gogh. He was a Dutch artist who was famous for his paintings. If you take a look at his paintings, there are many paintbrushes prints on there. One day, he drew a self-portrait of himself and showed to his friend, who was also an artist. He said that it didn't look like Gogh. Then, Gogh cut parts of his ear to match the painting. That is also a famous story from him. There are well known paintings such as Van Gogh's Chair, The Starry Night (etc.). When he left the world, his paintings got popular and famous.
Another artist would be: Pablo Picasso. He was a Spanish artist who mainly worked on collage and sculptures. One of his paintings would be Still Life with a Bottle of Rum.
One more "long time ago artist" would be Claude Monet. He was a French artist who used impressionism in his artworks. He was a painter and one of his famous paintings would be Bridge Over a Pond of Water Lilies.

Then, there are artists from modern days. Keith Haring was an American artist who used pop art. He mainly had political views that revealed in his artworks. In the 20th century, his art became well known over the years.
Robert Indiana is another prominent artist present today. He creates pop art, too. You might've seen the Love sculpture. The letters are all cramped into one, forming two rows. There is also Hope, which is in the same style as Love. Indiana donated Hope for Barack Obama's campaign.
Lastly, Jeff Koons is well known today as well as the other artists. He is famous for his sculptures and more. His artworks are mainly used steel to form balloon animals with it. His famous works are Puppy, Sacred Heart, and more.

Learning about artists and their artworks can be very beneficial in your artistic world. Keep looking up in the Internet!

Do you agree with this equation: Art = Fear? If you do, it means that you are actually fearing of art. If you don't, that's great! For those "Art Fearers", think it easy, and from now on, I will guide you into the world of art.

Often, some people are afraid of expressing feelings in art. They think that they don't have any "talents" in art, or art is hard. Nevertheless, they need to fight the fear of art.

Okay now, you need to think of something creative. That is the first thing in art. If it's hard to think of "creative" ideas, just think of anything that pops into your head at once. Then, think it through in the process, and it would be creative at any point. Or simply look at the place you're sitting. Look at it in 360 degrees around you; you would see many things!

Also, you could doodle random things that you weren't planning to draw. Last year on my first day of fine-arts class, my teacher gave us large pieces of paper that weren't used yet. Then, she told us all to do something very difficult: doodle. She turned on different types of music for us to listen to while we drew crazily onto the gray paper. The passion of art was that great that crayons snapped in two, and fingers became black. You should try that sometime. I personally had a great time doing that activity. So don't think while doing this; make weird shapes and don't try to make it beautiful. Afterwards, find one part of the doodling that makes you get interested. At times, some people try to copy what others did, which isn't original. Sometimes, skimming through the Internet for ideas can be beneficial, too! But most of the times, you should use your very own ideas that came from your left and right brains.

It's quite pressuring of how people expect you to do something BIG and GREAT, but there's a question: How do we make it wonderful and big? Start small. Seriously, you can't just form finished art right away; it's not like magic where your finished product is in your hands in a split second. Time and effort is needed, but most importantly, patience is the key in art. And then, end big.

Here's my advice to you: think a lot deeply in your normal days. If there's a thing that you've got, jot it down! As I've experienced, the ideas that I've thought earlier was forgotten since I didn't go back to it later.
